The
Young Musician Institute, Inc. was
established in 1999 as a place where children and adults could discover
the joy of participating in the arts and develop their natural musical
talents. We provide lessons in all instruments including, but not limited to piano, drums, guitar, violin, saxophone, trumpet, voice, dance and drama.
Located at 231 Jerusalem Avenue, Hempstead, New York, 11550, the Institute is now responsible
for the music education of many students from the Uniondale, Baldwin, East Meadow, Hempstead, Garden City, Merrick, Roosevelt and Freeport areas. Our Philosophy
is centered on the belief that every child is creative. It is our pleasure
to be involved in developing future artists and patrons of the arts.
The majority of our students will go on to specialize in other important
professions besides music. However, when you stop to think of how much music
has influenced math, science and language, it is impossible to down-play
the role music plays in developing the creativity that has and will always
inspire great minds to discover great things.
It is important that artists be supported by family, teachers, and the community.
It is for this reason that we ask that you please support the arts and encourage
the children to participate. Speaking of how he came to his discovery of the theory of relativity, Einstein said, "I discovered it through music."
Our future depends on the Arts!
